Introducing Stedi's new professional claims submission form

We’ve redesigned the professional claim form in the Stedi portal to make it faster and easier to manually submit 837P professional claims.

The new layout mirrors the CMS-1500 (NUCC) Health Insurance Claim Form, the standard paper form for professional claims in the healthcare industry. If you’ve filled out a CMS-1500 before, the new form will look familiar.

What’s included

Aside from a new look, the form helps you submit claims with fewer errors:

• One-to-one mapping with CMS-1500 fields – Each field in our form has a numbered box that matches the field in the CMS-1500 form.
  
  

• Built-in guidance – Every field includes a help icon that opens instructions for the field. You can quickly see how each field should be completed.
  
  

• Real-time validation – The form validates key information, like provider NPIs and required fields, to reduce errors and claim rejections.

When you submit a professional claim using the form, Stedi validates it and sends it to the payer. You’ll see it appear on your Transactions page as a new 837P Professional Claim.

How to access the form

Sign in to your Stedi account and go to https://portal.stedi.com/app/healthcare/claims/create.

You can also open the form from the Stedi portal by going to Claims> Submit claim.
